WEST ASHLEY OUTBOARD MOTOR CLUB

The West Ashley Outboard Motor Club (WAOMC) is located on the banks of Potato Shed Creek off the Stono River in the West Ashley area of Charleston, South Carolina, USA. It was founded in 1957 at the current Wappo Creek Landing site. Membership is by invitation.

Its members, otherwise known as “Flying Dolphins”, are dedicated to the prevention of pollution of neighboring recreational waters, stimulating greater interest in boating and developing a fraternal spirit among outdoor enthusiasts and citizens in the area served by the Club.

WAOMC is a registered non-profit organization and has been a significant contributor to local charities.
